Misguided promises

I bought two sets of the pic cookware ( one set as a gift ) primarily because they inferred that the pic's came with traveling cases. They also failed to mention not all cookware would work on these, I have an expensive set of Emerill cookware from HSN that does not work on in, but a cheap set of cookware I have does. When I received the package I had no carrying cases. I called the company and told them and they said they would ship the cases to me. I received the box and there was only one case inside although the shipping invoice said they shipped four. I call the company again and told them what happened. They stated an investigation would be started within ten days. Shortly thereafter I received an email from them stating I had ordered the two sets as one order and was therefore only entitled to one carrying for the four pics, two of which were gifts! I guess I am suppose to share my one case with the person I gave the other pics too. I called them again and was told if I wanted the other cases I would have to purchase them and pay for the shipping also. I told them I would send my pics back except I would lose the $139.00 I paid for shipping on the original package. I told them that I felt they owed me at least one more case for the second set I purchased, but was told that because I ordered the second set with the first set, I didn't qualify for the second case. If I had ordered them separately I would have gotten a second case.

NU WAVE OVEN ORDERED AND STILL WAITING

I ordered two Nu Wave Ovens for my daughters as Christmas gifts on December 11, and paid the additional $39.95 shipping for the second oven, and was assured they would be delivered before Christmas. On December 20 I called and was told they were in the process of being shipped and would surely get them before Christmas as December 17 was the deadline to order to assure delivery in time. It is now Christmas Eve, and no gifts for my daughters!! I called today, and they told me there was a problem processing my payment, even though I ordered on line and paid with a credit card, and that they were shipped and I should receive them by December 28! I found out the ovens are available locally with free shipping, and I guess I should have went that route. DO NOT ORDER DIRECTLY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

my brother thought he was ordering 30.00 worth of cookware off the tv and got hit with a 300.00 out of his bank account he is on social security so now he has no food and as yet to see the cookware!he is a navy vet. he just thought he was going to get a good dal not ripped off,something needs to be done about this company,evidently he is not the first,second or third,more like the thousandth to be taken!i want to know why they are still allowed to advertise on the tv,isn't there anyone that watches this stuff

Wow, I am so glad i decided to check on this , I just saw the infomercial last night, and almost called but waited till today and boy am I glad I did!! I would rather just get it on Ebay.

So sorry to hear about all who have been scammed. Something really needs to be done about these type of scamming companies.

A Real Shyster Outfit

I spent 45 minutes on the phone with customer service and got nowhere. They charged my 90 year old father-in-law with dementia over $475 in shipping and told me that they would not refund for the majority of the shipping and furthermore, we have to pay shipping to return the products! "Gaddy," the customer service supervisor (or so she claimed) said that they had no way of flagging the computer to not accept his orders (this after the first and second customer service rep told me that they could do it). It's clear to me reading the complaints that this company preys on senior citizens. This company needs to be shut down.

Get a FREE COOKWARE SET WITH ORDER - JUST PAY $70 SHIPPING RIPOFF

Ordered the 2 Cooktops...and ask how many sets of the cookware came with it.. and could the 2nd of either be sent to a different address. She said "No, has to be one address" Tops came But no cookware--(you know the FREE cookware they promote) Called back...if want the cookware it's $70..how'd that for being free. If you have a stove, you definitely don't need this. Does not do anything different that a stove...sure you can set temperature which if you're to dumb to use a stove might be beneficial. Never trust the outfit again! Suggest...save your $$$

The government needs to step in and do something to companies such as this. This company gets by with non-specific in there ad either on tv or the internet.

I told the woman I talked with that it was a given that the cookware should come with the set of cook-tops. Shipping if any should be figured all in one box and at one price. Since this is what the consumer expects. But this added price might effect sales also there extra ability to scam and cheat the public.

This company also sells other cooking sets grills etc.

that confuses the purchaser. Two Words of advice, Stay Away!

NUWAVE OVEN RIPOFF

PUCHASED A NUWAVE OVEN AND WITHIN A FEW MONTHS THE PLASTIC LID/DOME ON IT BEGAN CRACKING UNTIL A SHORT WHILE LATER IT FELL APART. THOUGHT THAT MAYBE THIS WAS MY FAULT SO I PAID TO HAVE A NEW ONE SHIPPED TO US. HOWEVER, THIS ONE ALSO BEGAN TO CRACK APART ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. NUWAVE RELEASED A "NEW STRONGER" LID AT THAT POINT. I EMAILED THEM TWICE THAT I DID NOT WANT TO PURCHASE A THIRD LID/DOME WHEN THE PROBLEM CLEARLY RELATED TO THEIR *** QUALITY. NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER. A THIRD EMAIL GOT A RESPONSE THAT BASICALLY SAID THAT THE ONLY OPTION WAS FOR ME TO PURCHASE A THIRD LID/DOME. THIS COMPANY IS A RIPOFF! THEIR POOR QUALITY IS YOUR PROBLEM. PERSON WHO BLOGGED A COUPLE DAYS AGO. TELL YOUR ATTY. THAT I WOULD LOVE TO ADD MY NAME TO THE LIST OF THOSE WHO WERE SCREWED BUT NOT KISSED.

Nuwave oven customer service sucks!

Called the company about the dome cracking! They told me someone would have to call me back in 3 to 5 business days so I can get my replacement dome! Even though I was on the phone with a person that takes orders! So now I will get a supposed "call" from them in 3 to 5 business days between 7am and 10 pm! Never ordering another thing from them again! I'm sure if I was ordering more items they would be filling my order right away! Think twice about ordering anything from this company the customer service sucks!!

NUWAVE OVEN...Refund for error in second shipping

Company sent me two ovens and accessories and charged me twice. After almost two months, and four phone calls I am still waiting for refund. I've also contacted the Better Business Bureau about the situation today and placed my complaints on FaceBook today. They have stated that it was their error to my bank manager who is also trying to get me my money back. I live on SSD and retirement income. So I can't afford the $150.00 that they took out of my account without permission. Thank God I have a reasonable bank. They've been very understanding. Greg Reeves

Deceptive Advertising

I was charged WITHOUT AN INVOICE!!!. You shouldn't have to read the fine-print of a contract to purchase an oven........An invoice Before payment is common practice and HONEST!. This is not a real estate transaction, this was suppose to be a SIMPLE purchase, what is the world coming to???. It's BAD BUSINESS and Very Deceptive!!!. We have been doing business on eBay for over 5 years now and we ALWAYS give the customer an invoice BEFORE they pay for the item, we don't expect them to have to read a contract before their purchase, charge their card, then send an invoice for a totally different (and much higher) amount!!!, that's ridiculous, they would kick us off eBay (and rightfully so) in a New York minute if we tried *** like NuWave tried with us. How does $39.90 per month x 3 months turn into $219.90, + 2 more payments of $39.90???. I cancelled the order via. PayPal and the C.C., I called NuWave and cancelled the order immediately, they said OK, no problem. PayPal informed me that NuWave hit the card 1 day after NuWave said they cancelled the order. I Called nuwave again, they apologized and 6 hrs. later the card was charged again...... I Cancelled credit card, ordered a new one, froze bank account as the 2rd charge resulted in an overdraft and filed a complaint with the B.B.B..(hearthware.com is their business name). Over all my experience was probably the worst business transaction (for lack of better words) I have ever had to go through. Thanks for the worst experience ever and an overdraft.

I was all set to order the NuWave PIC Cooktops as advertised on TV and on-line untill I was told about the excessive shipping and handling charges of $129.85. RIDICULOUS!! DECEPETIVE!! DISHONEST!! I just will NOT deal with companies that do business this way. We ALL should award our business to those companies who do business in a fair and straight forward way with up-front disclosure of shipping and other costs.

NuWave PIC

I also ordered the NuWave PIC (I have the oven already). I was suppose to get the 48 hr. delivery and all the specials. I too received only the NuWave PIC, cookbook, chart and nothing else. I was told also in a letter that some had to be back ordered. I am disgusted. Of all my nice cooking ware nothing will cook on the PIC and I did not at least receive something to cook on it. Why run orders when you can't fill them. But, they do take the money without a problem. Really disappointed like all of you. No telling when we will get the rest. Marlene from Texas.

I ordered PIC in April. Received the first complete order in a decent time frame, however, never received anything more.

After two months I attempted to contact Hearthware by all of the routes they suggest. As with all of the other buyers, they charged the credit card, but no response. Stayed on line for almost one hour. Finally I contacted the credit card company and they attempted to contact Hearthware without success.

The credit card reversed the charges and with in one week I received the next cooktop, but no free items,but the shipping was taken off. I have ordered four Nuwave ovens and never had these problems!

I have been shopping on-line for years and have never dealt with an on-line store which does'nt even send any confirmation e-mail or neglected to advise customer the item is in back order. if you are unable to fulfill the order, you should at least have the courtesy of letting your customers know. This is a very lousy way to do business.

Just a tip for you, when they say that you're getting Express 24-Hour Processing, they're only referring to the "processing", not the shipping. This means the product will be shipped out in 24 hours, but it will take 5-7 business days for it to actually arrive.

How can you sell products when you don't even have them in your posession to sell, and can not give your valuable customers answers other than the same repetitious note/letter being sent out? Why do you continue to maintain heavy advertising (TV, Internet, etc.) knowing this fact? Evidently this has been going on for a very long period of time. This is very insulting and degrading to your customers.

I want to know NOW when I am going to receive the rest of my first set and ALL of my other set. Please be truthful with your answers.

If I were Hearthware I would be afraid that I would end up in a Class Action Lawsuit.

More bullship. I would bet this company is owned by someone outside the U.S.

I mighy buy a single cooktop if they indeed have them at bed, bath and beyond, and will buy an extended warranty if less than $10, because I KNOW that bed, bath and beyond could not survive if they treated customers the way heartland is treating their own customers. Too bad the republicans blocked Elizabeth Warren's nomination to head the consumer protection agency. Heartland would have already been sued and shut down by the government.

The idea of "every man for himself, you are on your own" is not a system I would ever favor, but the politicians who would leave everybody to fight corporations on their own are all taking "contributions" from those CROOKS. This is no different than the mafia extorting money for "Protection"

NuWave Induction Cooktop 2 for 1 ripoff

If you go to the webpage an decide to order you have to put your information in on the 1st page and hit continue and then say NO to all the other pots, skillets and warranties before you see that your 2for1 $99 deal would have a shipping and handling cost of $139.85 and there terms say they will accept a return minus shipping and handling however there is no CANCEL or BACK Button to get out of this - you are in their website with no way out. Even when I cancelled the webpage without submitting my order I received a confirmation saying they had received my order, which I did not SUBMIT because I will not pay $139 shipping and handling. I have notified the attorney general in our state, posted everywhere I can, beware when a company ask for your contact information and credit card before allowing you to see shipping and handling. Very deceptive. I notified the credit card company 4 days before it was posted to not allow the charge but they did, so I am protesting that as well.

Not only did I have the credit card company take the charges off my account I also called FedEx and told them they delivered a package I did not order and they come back and picked it up. The law says people can keep what is sent to them unordered but I chose to send it back. Get with your credit card company and get it off your account.

Unexpected escessive shipping & handling charges & incomplete order

On Sept. 17, 2012, I ordered 2 nuwave PI cooktops for $99.99 and the white oven pro for $77.85. One of the promised "free" items, "the Main Cooking Package" was not included. The merchandise total was $213.69 but the shock came when the shipping and handling cost me an additional $165.75 for a total of $379.44! Attempting to call customer service was hopeless. Finally a response to my e-mail complaint came from "Kelly" who totally ignored the excessive postage issue saying, "I have listened to the recording and you agreed to pay $239.85 for 2 PICS and 1 Ultimate cookware set". The promised "Main Cooking Package" promotion was considered part of the included 9" & 10.5" pans. But the invoice lists 9 separate items of which only 8 were shipped. She totally ignored the $165.75 shipping and handling charges that were added to the bill -which was the chief issue of my complaint. If you have Amazon. com Prime, the postage is free for the same items. You can also get free postage from "Medical for You" or from "Big Kitchen". You might pay a few dollars more for the individual items but you will still come out ahead by not paying for the excessive postage and handling charges from Hearthware. I'm still waiting for a response from them. If so many people are complaining about the unethical business practices of this company, maybe someone should initiate a class action lawsuit. I would not hesitate to be a part of such a legal action if they do not properly resolve this matter with me in a timely manner.

I received the missing item, viz.: "Ultimate Cookware Set" today on November 10, 2012 after complaining to the IL BBB. This was despite the fact that, agent "Kelly" of Heartware previously said that it was composed of the "Main Cooking Package" - items I had already received.

I did not have to pay any additional postage as they explained I had already paid for it originally. So much for the missing item, but they are not doing anything about the hidden excessive postage charges that I had to pay for the original order which was my main complaint.

I ordered (2) complete sets of the cookware totaling over $280. They promised it would arrive before Christmas (just to make the sale) or I wasn't going to make the purchase. It never arrived. I told them I'm cancelling my order, they tell me they don't know if they can. They still haven't returned my money nor have I received the product. They took the total amount out of my account the 1st business day after I made the purchase. It doesn't do any good to call the "CUSTOMER SERVICE #" because no one will answer. I've called this ph# several times, but I could stay on there for 10 mins., and no one ever answers . I wish I knew what to do about this.

I think we should form a Class-Action against these Bastards........ I have been trying to contact them 4-weeks straight.....Phone, e-mail etc They pull this BS, we Need to make sure their business goes to the Land Down-Under..... Cannot send it back, because they will say, *Oh, we Never got it, Sorry Cannot contact the BBB, because they will not do anything, or it will take Months Seriously, We Need to work together against them.......United We Stand, Divided They Fall May Peace be With Us We need to do this as soon as possible they do the crime, they do the time.
